Career Learning in Higher Education

This session introduces faculty and staff to career learning as a meaningful and complementary dimension of academic teaching. Participants will explore foundational career development theories and consider how career conversations can enrich disciplinary learning by supporting student motivation, identity development, and goal setting. Career learning helps students make connections between subject matter and their broader academic and personal interests, fostering deeper engagement and enhancing both academic and transferable skill development.
