Storytelling Across Disciplines (Online)
March 12 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT
This workshop introduces storytelling as a pedagogical approach that can strengthen connection, belonging, and the representation of diverse perspectives in the classroom. We will consider how narrative can challenge exclusionary practices, support student engagement, and create space for learners to bring their lived experiences into academic contexts. The session will also introduce digital storytelling as a flexible option for hybrid and online environments, with opportunities to experiment with simple tools for creating short stories or reflective narratives. Participants will engage with guided examples, hands-on practice, and collaborative design time to develop a story-based activity relevant to their own teaching. The workshop concludes with group take-up and discussion.
