Creating Memorable Classroom Experiences: Experiential and Community Engaged Learning (Online)

In this session, participants will explore Experiential Learning (EL), Community Engaged Learning (CEL). You'll leave understanding its benefits for students, institutional supports available at U of T, and learn how to incorporate experiential learning activities into syllabus and course design in ways that attend to student access and equity needs. The workshop has a practical component, giving participants a chance to uncover your pedagogical approach and reflect on how experiential learning fits into your teaching practice and goals for learning in the classroom. Participants will leave equipped with best practices and examples of EL and CEL that can be readily implemented into your course design as graduate student course instructors.
