This roundtable discussion will focus on contingent instruction in higher education and pedagogy as well as graduate students who are currently working as course instructors and/or those who anticipate working as contingent faculty. This roundtable will explore three areas: first, we will discuss snapshots and key highlights in existing research on contingent faculty in Ontario, Canada, and internationally to better understand the scope and scale of this work. Second, we will collectively consider the pedagogical implications of contingent teaching. Third, we will examine implications and possibilities for teaching support for contingent faculty. Participants can expect to participate through critical review of research, discussion of individual and collective experiences, and consideration of modes of teaching support and development.

REGISTRATION IS FULL. If you have any questions, please contact services.ta@utoronto.ca.
